About this webinar

The economics of data infrastructure are changing in three big ways. Software is increasingly delivered inside the customer's own cloud, which changes who pays for what. New architectures are cutting customer bills, and AI agents are starting to generate usage patterns that traditional pricing models weren't built to handle. This session is about what the commercial model needs to look like underneath all three.

Join Ville Lehto, VP of Strategy at Aiven, and Scott Woody, Head of Revenue Suite at Stripe, for a session exploring how leading infrastructure companies are navigating this commercial shift, managing token economics, and redesigning their billing engines for continuous monetization iteration.

What you'll learn

  • What BYOC means for pricing: When software runs inside the customer's own cloud, vendors should rethink what they're charging. It's important to focus on what changes and how to meter it without rebuilding billing each time the delivery model evolves.

  • Why packaging is an underrated lever: Giving customers a clear choice between options (faster but pricier vs. cheap but slower, for example) turns a technical decision into a commercial one. We'll examine why this pattern is showing up across infrastructure categories and what it unlocks.

  • How to price for AI agents: Agent-driven usage is spiky, unpredictable, and doesn't align well with seat or tier pricing. We'll cover what to meter and what controls customers typically need before they'll commit to usage-based contracts.

  • Pricing as a muscle, not a project: The companies winning right now aren't the ones who got pricing right once. They're the ones who can change it repeatedly without breaking the business. We'll cover what that operating model looks like in practice.

About this webinar

In this session, Elena Verna, Head of Growth at Lovable, joins Metronome to share how Lovable is approaching one of the toughest open questions in software: how to price AI.

Elena will discuss what makes AI pricing uniquely complex, why traditional SaaS models fall short, and how Lovable is experimenting with new approaches that better reflect the value AI delivers. She’ll also share her perspective on where AI monetization is heading — and what companies can do today to prepare for that shift.

We'll cover:
  • Why AI has upended the logic of SaaS pricing and why there’s still no clear playbook.

  • How Lovable is navigating the tension between self-serve and enterprise monetization.

  • What it takes to evolve from usage-based pricing toward outcomes-based value.
